Happy Thanksgiving!

On Tuesday we were able to head outside and observe fall changes happening around us. Before we went for our walk we brainstormed changes we might see... leaves changing color and falling to the ground, birds flying south and people dressing in warmer clothes. We also read the story The Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert. When we went out to find leaves for the classroom we made sure to listen for leaf man rustling and look for parts of him that might be hiding in the leaves!

As usual we had to spend some time rolling down the hill!

We continue to work on subitizing groups to 6. This time we played the math game Fill The Cup.

After we have lunch we have been working on read to self time. Mrs. Maris has done a great job getting the students to choose a book and read the pictures to themselves.

Of course the students have been busy creating, counting, building, sharing, painting and playing at center time!

On Thursday we worked to get our turkeys done for Thanksgiving! Wishing all of our Kindergarten families a very Happy Thanksgiving Day!

And a very crafty girl made a Mummy at the craft center!

See you on Tuesday! The K Team :)
